Ashley Rodholm is an editor, director, and producer based in the Bay Area, originally from Palm Springs, California. Known for her story-driven approach, emotional resonance, and classic aesthetic, Ashley creates timeless work through meticulous craftsmanship and authentic connections with her subjects.

As an editor, she has worked on award-winning short films across documentary, narrative, and branded content. Notable projects include collaborating with Marvel Studios’ screenwriter Nicole Perlman on THE SLOWS, EXIT 12 (Best Documentary Short at SXSW), SOMEWHERE HIGHER (Best Short Doc at deadCenter), and the branded doc series BLACK OWNED for Square (Tribeca X Award). The emotional short documentary EAT FLOWERS by Dir. River Finlay won the 2023 Audience Award at Indy Shorts and qualified for the Academy Awards. The 26min documentary, WE ARE AYENDA, Ashley cut for WhatsApp took home the coveted Grands Prix for Brand Storytelling at the 2024 Cannes Lions.

In the director’s chair, Ashley’s films explore the world's art and technology. Her documentary shorts have won acclaim – her first receiving the Golden Gate Award First Prize at SFFILM. STEP INTO THE PAGE, made headlines in Forbes, The Verge, and Variety for its heartfelt depiction of legendary Disney animator Glen Keane. Ashley directed projects for Google, Uber, Tripadvisor, Plaid, Casper, Pinterest, Adobe and OpenAI.
